Kitchen Experiment: coffee staining wood

Step one: brew strong coffee.

Apply in various ways:

Method 1: plain coffee to wood
Result: nothing

Method 2: coffee and milk
Result: a very light stain

Method 3: rub warm grounds into wood
Result: light "muddy" stain

Method 4: cold grounds and vegetable oil
Result: light stain. but I think it was more from the oil than the coffee

Conclusion: coffee will make a light stain if it's mixed with milk.

Follow up: would a coffee infused oil work better than milk? Expect results in 3-6 weeks.

the begining

I should've been doing this all along. Keeping records of the projects I'm working on. Loging in a report on activity sharing photographic prof etc...

Yeah, happy new year.

The house remodel:
One room is already complete. It went from seventies paneling and wall paper extravaganza to, well just look at the pictures.

The built in unit for the other bed room is mostly cut. I ran into a problem when I realized the width was two inches too short. I think I can widge it to work. I'm afraid it will look weird but it shouldn't be too ghetto.

Writing projects:
Finished the rugh draft of a Christmas play. I hope to have it read soon. I also hope to have it named soon.
Wooden Cloak is in rewrite.
Tsegan is going to take for ever
and The Irish Pirate Ninja is still in outline.

Social projects:
The Psalm Project rehearsed twice.
